Summary

Compute the determinant of a square matrix via LU factorization.

Parameters

a : (..., N, N) ndarray: Input array of type float32, float64, complex64, or complex128.
overwrite_a : bool: If True and the input is 2D contiguous and writable, the input buffer is used directly as the getrf workspace (destroyed on exit).

Returns

det : (...) ndarray: Determinant values with the same dtype as the input.
