Find a root of f in [a, b] using bisection.

f : callable: Python function returning a float.
a : float: Left bracket endpoint.
b : float: Right bracket endpoint.
xtol : float: Absolute tolerance. Must be >= 0.
rtol : float: Relative tolerance.
maxiter : int: Maximum number of iterations. Must be >= 0.
args : tuple: Extra arguments passed to f.
full_output : int: Non-zero to return detailed results.
disp : int, optional: Non-zero to raise RuntimeError on convergence failure.
