Notes

The probability density function for gengamma is (^[1], ^[2]):

f (x, a, c) = \frac{∣ c ∣ x ^{c a - 1} exp ( - x ^{c} )}{Γ ( a )}

for $x \geq 0$ , $a > 0$ , and $c \neq = 0$ . $Γ$ is the gamma function (scipy.special.gamma).

gengamma takes $a$ and $c$ as shape parameters.

The SciPy distribution halfgennorm is a special case of gengamma: halfgennorm(beta) = gengamma(a=1/beta, c=beta).
