Summary

Return the index of the element of x with the largest absolute value (BLAS izamax).

Parameters

x : ndarray: Input vector.
n : int, optional: Number of elements to process. Default is the whole vector.
offx : int, optional: Index of the first element of x to use. Default is 0.
incx : int, optional: Stride between successive elements of x. Default is 1.

Returns

k : int: Index of the element maximizing abs(x.real) + abs(x.imag). This is a 0-based index into x; the underlying BLAS routine returns a 1-based index, which SciPy shifts by one.
