source: build-install/usr/lib/python3.14/site-packages/scipy/linalg/_fblas.cpython-314-x86_64-linux-gnu.so

Signature

def dsymm(alpha, a, b, beta = 0.0, c = None, side = 0, lower = 0, overwrite_c = 0)

Summary

Compute c = alpha*a@b + beta*c for a symmetric matrix a (BLAS dsymm).

Parameters

alpha : float

Scalar multiplier for the product.

a : ndarray

symmetric matrix; only the triangle selected by lower is referenced.

b : ndarray

General matrix.

beta : float, optional

Scalar multiplier for c. Default is 0.

c : ndarray, optional

Input/output matrix; if omitted a new zero matrix is allocated. Default is None.

side : int, optional

If 0, a multiplies from the left; if 1, from the right. Default is 0.

lower : int, optional

If 0, the upper triangle is used; if 1, the lower. Default is 0.

overwrite_c : int, optional

If nonzero, c may be overwritten in place. Default is 0.

Returns

c : ndarray

The matrix alpha*a@b + beta*c (or alpha*b@a + beta*c if side=1).
