Summary

Compute scale factors that equilibrate a symmetric matrix (LAPACK dsyequb).

Parameters

a : ndarray: symmetric matrix of shape (n, n).
lower : int, optional: If nonzero, the lower triangle of a is referenced; otherwise the upper. Default is 0.

Returns

s : ndarray: Scale factors, length n. Real for every flavor.
scond : float: Ratio of the smallest to the largest scale factor.
amax : float: Largest element of a in absolute value.
info : int: 0 on success; if negative, the -info-th argument had an illegal value; if positive, the info-th diagonal entry is nonpositive.
