select and t are read for real: LAPACK has to scan them to work out the cluster size before it can size the workspace.

Parameters

select : ndarray: Boolean mask of length n: the eigenvalues it marks are gathered into the leading block. A bool array works; LAPACK reads it as a Fortran LOGICAL.
t : ndarray: Upper (quasi-)triangular Schur form of shape (n, n).
job : str, optional: What to compute besides the reordering: 'N' nothing, 'E' the cluster condition number s, 'V' the separation sep, 'B' both. Default is 'B'.

Returns

work : float: Optimal lwork for the matching trsen call.
iwork : int: Optimal liwork. The complex flavors have no integer workspace and do not return it.
info : int: 0 on success; if negative, the -info-th argument had an illegal value.
